50. We say goodbye to our cottage and Naturist Legacy Park
We
moved our cottage and small outbuildings over from the old
Crocus
Grove Sun Club
campground in late 2010. For the next several years our seasonal lot
became "command central" for most of the development and construction
at Naturist Legacy Park. It seems like there were
always trailers, lawn equipment or building materials parked
here and there on the site. It was all very necessary, but not always
pleasant to look at. Fortunately, when my wife wasn't busy helping
me (which she so often did), she managed to find time to
plant lots of flowers. Keeping her flowers looking good was not an easy job because water had to be
carried from the park's central pump house. In spite of this
inconvenience, she did a wonderful job of bringing bright and beautiful colour to
our little part of the park each season.
I was at Naturist
Legacy Park just about every day during its first few seasons doing construction
and development work in addition to routine operational tasks like touring
prospective members, cleaning washrooms and maintaining the pool. Our little
cottage served us exceedingly well during those busy and productive years.
It wasn't much to look at, but we sure loved living in it.
We
began the demolition of our cottage and outbuildings on June 6,
2016. We formally vacated our seasonal lot on June 22, 2016. We haven't been back to Naturist
Legacy Park since (ask me why).
These photographs from my personal collection were taken during our 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 seasons at the park. Please contact me if you'd like to learn more about them. Minimum screen width of 1000px required.
