Photos of Naturist Legacy's early success
43. The rafters have plywood sheathing and metal roofing applied
The roof would be sheathed with 1/2" spruce plywood (see
the
plans). I did all of the initial roof work while other members on the
ground cut plywood sheets to size and handed them up to me. Once all of
the plywood was safely tacked into position, other members joined me on
the roof to put in the rest of the screws. A very generous Naturist Legacy
Inc. member donated

for the clubhouse. A skilled member helped us get started
with the job of attaching the metal. As before, I was the person on the
roof while other members handed each sheet to me as needed. They
attached
the lower end of each sheet while I put in all the rest of the screws.
Before finishing the roof, I took time out to sheath and
paint the building's eaves (with help from a fellow member). I
then attached the vented ridge
cap on the roof. A member handed each section from below as needed. It
was great to
see all of the roof work safely done.
