Photos of Naturist Legacy's early success
13. Naturist Legacy Park's underground wiring is installed
Naturist Legacy Park's new underground electrical wiring was installed
in mid-July by CJ Electric Ltd. of
Beausejour.
Owner Clarence Lashek's large Ditch Witch quickly turned the park's campground
into a maze of deep trenches. I and a fellow member were on hand to pull
cables from large spools and lay them into the ground as directed by Clarence
so that the trenches could be quickly backfilled. After the trenching was
done, Clarence brought a large grey electrical cabinet which he positioned
near the base of
Manitoba
Hydro's transformer pole. He also brought two electrical panels that
would supply power to the campground's twenty seasonal lots. I and another
member were on hand once again to help as required — mostly with our shovels,
this time. I liked working with Clarence because he was all business when
on the job site. I especially appreciated his willingness to permit me
to work alongside him as a volunteer helper. This saved the corporation
a lot of money and also allowed me to learn more about the inner workings
of the new infrastructure. This acquired knowledge would in fact prove
vitally important to Naturist Legacy Park several years later (in 2016).
These photographs from my personal collection were taken in July 2011.
