Naturist Legacy News Update

March 25, 2011
Temperatures are beginning to moderate, the snow is beginning to melt and the days are growing noticeably longer. Spring is rapidly nearing and as you might expect, our planning for the 2011 construction season is intensifying. This planning has been much more difficult than we had anticipated — not only because of the onerous burden of regulations, permits and other bureaucratic red tape that we've needed to investigate and deal with, but also because of competing demands for time placed upon us by our own personal and business lives.

Major components of our project planning include the electrical system (the wiring necessary to connect Hydro to our buildings and RV area), the water system (which will include a new well and perhaps also a drinking water cistern), the sewage system (which will be a large holding tank), our washroom building (which will house showers and two washrooms — one wheelchair accessible), and the swimming pool with surrounding deck. Now that our plans are firming up, we are beginning to reach out for help to members and friends who have previously offered us their time and unique talents. We are very grateful for this often specialized assistance....

We have received numerous inquiries about new memberships over the past few months. Many inquirers have signed up to receive these News Updates. One enthusiastic couple has already had their criminal background checks done and have forwarded them to us! Law enforcement agencies can often take several weeks to complete background checks that include vulnerable sector verifications. Because summers are short in Manitoba, prospective members are encouraged to get their background checks done well in advance of when they hope to begin visiting Naturist Legacy Park.
